No, real animals don't come out of Pokeballs…

Thanks to the cartoon, the trading cards and far too many Nintendo games, modern children can identify Pokemon more easily than local animals. Ants and beetles are hard to identify, pikachu and wigglytuff are not.

If only Pokemon were real animals, our children would have learned something. Three-Toed Sloth, I choose you!
