Spot the slight typo:

Duck + beaver + spare chromosomes = platypus?
The platypus just keeps getting weirder. Unlike most mammals, instead of two chromosomes for sex determination, the platypus has ten (either XXXXXXXXXX or XYXYXYXYXY). Just to make things more interesting, one of the X chromosomes seems to contain avian genes.
Seriously, how weird can one animal get? Did they let the work experience kid design this one?
