The expected: unexpected

Friday, February 17th, 2006

I think a few of my more regular readers were expecting some sort of “anniversary” post. A year has passed, it’s true. So much has happened: anger, peace, confusion, enlightenment, darkness, light, boredom, excitement, loneliness, companionship.

And yet, I don’t feel the need to say anything here right now. I am content with what life has given me. No, I am more than content. If my life had not taken this path, my journey would not have reached this point. This point is worth so much more than the tolls of the journey. I may not believe in a god, but I feel blessed.

Sometimes, just sometimes, the grass really is greener.

Chilli ice cream is cool, but…

The Perth Chilli Festival was on this weekend.

I’ve been waiting all year for it.

I didn’t go.

I didn’t miss it in the slightest.

I found something even better than a chilli festival.

Return of the Tiggletaggle

And lo, for Debs has returned to the folds of the Interwebberynet. She didst gaze upon the last year of its development and progress and quoth, “I’ve got how many megabytes of spam?!”

The evolution of my relationship with Debs has not been a clear or easy path, but I am comfortable and content with the way things are. We are the best of friends, and I am so very happy for her and Cary. I know it hasn’t been an entirely easy journey for them either.

Congratulations guys; may your cup runneth over with the joy of life.

I’m the magic faerie, and I eat fish!

Dadda: What would you like for dinner?

Romilly: Can I have dead fish?

Dadda: Sure, you want fish?

Romilly: Dead fish.

Dadda: How’s your tummy? Are you hungry?

Romilly: I haven’t got any fish in my tummy.

Dadda: Well how about we put some in there, then?

Romilly: Yes!
