In honour of Microsoft's decision to remove their “TrueType core fonts for the Web”, I have tweaked the style sheet for this site. It now uses the default san-serif font on your system instead of Verdana. Verdana was one of my favourite web fonts, but if Microsoft are going to use pathetic excuses and remove them, I won't encourage their use.
The fact that many people have the fonts already, and that some people have already distributed them illegally is not a reason to disallow access to others. If this was the correct way to act, Microsoft should stop anyone from purchasing Windows. After all, many people already have it, and it does get distributed illegally.
